Sony ericsson w810 is a sweet addition to the new range of cell phone released at Cebit 2006. Infact, its a slight extension to the sony ericsson w800. Where w strands for walkman, the cellphone is equipped with some more music oriented features.
Design
The first attraction is the black color in combination with orange ( the typical walkman style). Joystick has been removed with circular d-pad which contains music specific buttons such as play, pause, skip, volume etc. Another difference you would find is the absense of camera cover.Features
Sonyericsson w810 even bears the same size and shape as that of sony ericsson w800 i.e. 100mm x 46mm x 19.5mm and 99grams. W810 also supports FM radio with RDS and EDGE connectivity. The internal memory has reduced to 20Mb now but it doesnt matter a lot if the cell phone package is always bundled with a 512mb memory stick duo card. It wont be useless to also discuss the features that were also found in the previous version i.e w800. Usb charging support, 35mm standard headphones, camera with auto focus and a lot more.Sony ericsson w810 can also run as a standalone music player. This would also increase the music play time closer to a real mp3 player. Moreover its also comes with music management softwares to feel the true taste of music listening. Sony ericsson w810i still cant be used as a plug and play usb drive unless you install the software driver for it first. I thought this could be the awaited feature for a w800 upgrade.
