The first thing that amused me was its short size. Samsung e800 looks cool in your palm. It is said that the sliding function is somewhat automatic. One just has to push and it will complete automatically. In real its not exactly the same but its close to what is defined in the specs. Its dimenstions are 87x44x23 with 86g in weight. Screen is 65TFT with 128 x 172 pixels resolution.
Some people dont feel great while opening the slider and using the keypad. As the keypad seems somewhat inside, so it could be hard to handle in the begining. The keys on the keypad are saturared normally and nice, so no objection about that. You can use many features while the slider is not open, even you can make and receive calls without opening the slider. Loudspeaker is a nice functional addition to the cellphone. Furthermore, 60 channel polyphonic is added, 20Mb memory is present and in connectivity options you can see IrDa.

Conclusion and Price

I must stress that as far as functionality or features are concerned, Samsung e800 is like e700 or similar samsung cellphone. Only sliding is integrated with a change in shape. In my opinion, its suggested price is quite high. It started at 400 dollars and now its around 300 dollars. Keeping in mind that only sliding function is added; no mp3 feature, no 262k screen etc.
