Memory

Motorola Rokr has only 75 MB of built-in internal memory that is shared among all of the applications like text messages, multimedia messages, ringing tones, images, video clips, calendar notes, to-do list etc. There is a MiniSD card slot available to extend the memory. Using the extension slot you can extend the memory up to 2GB or more. Nokia E-70 supports “Hot Swap” for easy MiniSD card insertion and removal. Hot swapping is the feature that enables the handset to swap out one memory card for another without removing the battery.



Nokia E-70 has the same internal available memory as Nokia E-61 has, 75 MB, but I would definitely say that Sony Ericsson wins in this bout as well by providing more internal memory than Nokia E-70 like Sony Ericsson P990 provides 80 MB of free memory, Sony EricssonW550 has 256 MB of internal memory and Sony Ericsson W900 has 470 MB of internal memory. So Nokia needs to think over the available memory in the handsets because I think that this is the maximum internal memory which Nokia has provided in any handset.

Keyboard:

Although Nokia has provided a handset that is loaded with a full Qwerty Keyboard in order to be the most demanding handset. The thing is that the delete and enter keys are just next to each other and it will take no longer time for a new user to press a delete key although he wanted to press the enter key and same for the other way round. So one has to be quite conscious while using either “Enter Key” or “Delete Key”.

Tall And Large:

Nokia E-61 having nice display, good combination of resolution and Color schemes but still it is quite large and tall than it is supposed to be. Today people always prefer and enjoy using small phones as compared to the large ones. Sorry to say, when people see someone using Nokia E-61 it would no longer to take them to say “Look, some idiot is positioning a slice of bread along with his ear”.

Expected Release

Nokia has decided to give surprise to the Users by launching Nokia E-61 in the First Quarter of year 2006. On the other hand, the Customers are ready to the new technology monster welcome abroad.

Expected Price

There is always a conflict between price and Performance. This time Nokia has neither comprised performance over price nor price over performance. Nokia E-61 is expected to be launched within price range of USD 420 to USD 540.

Design

Nokia E-61 has as shiny, stylish design with metallic color coating, which receives the attention automatically even when placed in a variety of handsets.

Video Calling

How can Nokia forget to place a small camera on either side of handset. This is unbelievable. Nokia E-60 being a part of 3 G community does not have a camera, then how can you make a video call. Either the phone should have a camera for video calls or the phone should not be a 3G phone

Tall and Large

Although E-60 has a very nice display along with having a good combination of resolution and Color schemes, but still it is a little bit tall and large than it should be. These Candy bar design phones target the customers for having small size but Nokia E-60 tends to loose this viable advantage over other handsets. Nokia E-60 can only be useful if the person is looking for a data device rather than phone.

W900 or Sakura, don’t confuse these two diverse terms, these are the two different names given to the same mobile during different phases of development. Actually W900 was the final name given to the handset which was named Sakura during development phase.
