At the 3GSM conference 2005, Sony ericsson added another product to its line of 3G/UMTS cellphones i.e. z800. At first its only availalbe to vodafone, but in second quarter it will be available for retail.

External Features

Sony ericsson z800 has a nice clamshell look with a rotating camera at the top middle (called motion eye). The internal screen is 176 x 220 262k while the external is 101 x 80 65k. Now most of the compaines are switching from 65k i.e 16bit to 262k i.e. 18 bit color screens. Its dimensions 102 x 49 x 24 mm and weight 128g are somewhat big but acceptable for a UMTS phone.

At 3GSM conference Feb 2005, Sony ericsson showed k600 for the 3G UMTS market. Normally 3G handsets are bulkier and bigger; but this one is not with its elegant aluminium look and feel. Its size and weight is at the level of 2G handsets. Furthermore, it is also compatible with all GSM modes. Lets discuss its main features.

Features

Sony ericsson k600 comes up with almost all the features of a 3G and a fashion cellphone. There are two cameras, one at front for video conferencing and one at back i.e. 1.3 megapixel camera for digital imaging. The screen is rich with 176 x 220 pixel TFT screen i.e. 18 bit (262k color).
