Before the release of Nokia 73, I would say that Nokia N series was devoid of rivals and competition. The basic reason was the presence of unique features but a bulky design. Nokia N73 has changed the concept while keeping same exceptional features with an elegant design to compete with high end phones of other manufacturers.

With volume less than just 90cc, 116g weight and 110x40x19 mm dimenstions; Nokia N73 has everything being expected from Nokia N series. With such as size, you still can see QVGA 2.4 inch LCD. You would be amazed to see Carl Zesis Optics with a 3.2 megapixel camera. Being based over series 60 3rd edition, Nokia N73 has every extended functionality that you expect from a smartphone. Such functionality takes you on to the road of perfect digital imaging, multimedia, fashion and perfect sharing options.

Nokia N73 also presents stereo speakers with 3D sound effects. The browsing capabilities are superb such as mini map technology, rss feeds etc. UMTS network is also supported. So, there is a dedicated camera in front for video conferencing.

Conclusion

I think the major achievement in Nokia N73 is sleek design and light weight. Nokia N73 seems comparable with other top notch handsets from other manufactureres such as sony ericsson k800, m600 etc. Ive found Nokia N73 always taking the edge on comparison. Nokia N73 is expected to be released in July 2006 different fashion oriented color variations. In my opinion, if the smartphone is free from technical drawbacks and got into the market with a reasonable price, it would definitely be a hit.
