E-Series, the name given to the collection of business phones by Nokia, stands for "Enterprise Series".
Business users, the expected consumers of this new E-Series, can choose one from the three models, Nokia E-60, Nokia-E-61, Nokia E-70, to meet their business and personal needs.
Don't you think that the names are quite familiar? Yes, of course they do. But besides having quite interesting names, Nokia has coped to differentiate them from other smart-phones by providing the beauty of design along with keyboard-enabling feature, which is still quite new in its own.

There is always a conflict between price and Performance. This time Nokia has neither comprised performance over price nor price over performance. Nokia E-70 is expected to be launched with a nice price range between USD 420 to USD 540.
Nokia E-70 has a full keyboard that has a fold open design, Split QWERTY keyboard. Besides the beautiful keyboard the handset has two soft keys, right and left soft keys, both of which are configurable. Power key that can be used as a profile key is also available along with five way scroll. Nokia E-70 provides the use to switch between list and grid menu to facilitate them in using the handset.
Nokia E-70 is a Series 60 3rd Edition device runs over Symbian Operating System v9.1, which helps to secure the business critical information. So it does support the compatibility of most of the softwares. With the help of Semantic Firewall and Anti-Virus support the handset is made more secure.
Although Nokia E-70 is not the lightest handset but still having a reasonable weight and weighs only about 127 grams (4.48 oz) with the dimensions of 4.61" x 2.09" x 0.87" (117 x 53 x 22 mm) and the handset occupies a volume of 102 cc.
Of course the handset is heavier than Nokia 7380 and Nokia 7360, whose weight is in two figures, along with this the handset is 10 grams heavier than Nokia E-60 as well but on the other hand it is lighter than most of the handsets in the market. On one hand it is 17 grams lighter than Nokia E-61 and 23 grams lighter than Sony Ericsson P990 and other popular brands of Sony Ericsson, which are always the heaviest handsets.
As compared to volume, the handset is not optimized in occupying space. Most of the other handsets have a volume in double figure like Nokia 7360, Nokia 7370, Nokia 7380 and Motorola Rokr. So in case of volume, Nokia needs to make less space occupying handsets like Nokia 73-Series.
Nokia E-70 has a 16M color TFT/TFD LCD display screen with 24-bit color depth. Nokia E-70 has active matrix display screen capable to display 352 x 416 pixels.
The handset has a best display; today there are only few handsets that have such a good display. Nokia has always been a leading party in providing good display handsets. Especially, the Nokia E-series is equipped with the best of the displays which one can never think. Most of the handsets today are either equipped either with 64 K color screen or with 256 K color screens but having a 16 M screen display is a new addition to the improvement of display screens. Coming to screen size, Nokia E-70 is providing a 352 x 416 pixel display screen. The screen is the best which I have ever seen and is the same which is present in Nokia E-60. Although Sony Ericsson's brands, Sony Ericsson W900 and P990 along with some of the Motorola's brands, Motorola E1070 and Motorola Razr V3x are providing 240 x 320 resolution screen but these screens never be a competitors of Nokia E-70's screen. Even the screen is better than Nokia E-61 which is also 240 x 320 pixels wide. So, in case of screen resolution the Nokia is providing the best screen resolution handsets in the market and no doubt is the best.
