Functionality Holes

Keyboard:

Although Nokia has provided a handset that is loaded with a full Qwerty Keyboard in order to be the most demanding handset. The thing is that the delete and enter keys are just next to each other and it will take no longer time for a new user to press a delete key although he wanted to press the enter key and same for the other way round. So one has to be quite conscious while using either "Enter Key" or "Delete Key".

Tall And Large:

Nokia E-61 having nice display, good combination of resolution and Color schemes but still it is quite large and tall than it is supposed to be. Today people always prefer and enjoy using small phones as compared to the large ones. Sorry to say, when people see someone using Nokia E-61 it would no longer to take them to say "Look, some idiot is positioning a slice of bread along with his ear".

Video Calling:

Could you believe this, Nokia not only forgot to place a Camera on back side of Nokia E-61 but also could not found time in placing a Camera on front side of handset. A lot of people are anxious to ask Nokia a simple question that what is the purpose of making Nokia E-61 a member of 3G community? Being a 3G member is not a feature for Nokia E-61 rather I would like to say that they have messed the existing features by adding 3G facility and dropping Camera from Nokia E-61.

Weight:

Nokia E-61 seems to be light weight, but this is not the reality. It has not lead the market in being light weight against its other rivals. Although Nokia E-61 is lighter than Sony Ericsson w900 by only 4 grams, weighing 144 grams than Sony Ericsson w900 weighing 148 grams, but it is still heavier than other hand sets like Motrolla V635 and Black Berry. It weighs 20 grams more than Motrolla V635 and 10 grams more than Black Berry, so if Nokia would have been focused weight along with other features than of course Nokia E-61 would have been the hero of market.

Battery Life:

Nokia E-61 has failed to impress the rivals with battery performance. It lacks both in battery talking time and standby time.

Max Standby Time:

Nokia has also lacked by providing a good battery. In stand by mode, Nokia E-61's battery just work for 260 hours, but this time is quite less than lifetime of other handsets e.g. Sony Ericsson W900's battery 370 hours of stand by time while Black Berry's battery is live for about 450 hours in stand by mode. So there is a huge difference of battery in performance

Max Talk Time:

Nokia E-61's battery is also not as good in providing a good talk time as other handset's batteries do. One can talk with Nokia E-61 handset for only 7 hours as compared to 8.75 hours of Motrolla V635 and 8.4 hours talk time of Sony Ericsson W900. This is quite odd that such a good handset lacks in battery performance.

Radio:

Nokia E-61 does provide the multimedia support but it doesn't provide the Radio support. This has also been a lacking feature from Nokia.
AM Radio:
Nokia E-61 does not support AM Radio, some people are keen to listen to live talk shows and 24 hours fresh news, how can they get on Nokia E-61 without the support of AM Radio. Nokia would have provided that.
FM Radio:
Nokia E-61 does not support AM Radio either, what if someone having Nokia E-61 wants to listen to powerful music available through FM transmitters. There is no way out for this.

Conclusion:

Nokia E-61 is the one of best handset that one can imagine for having it under the belts. Although Nokia E-61 not having the cameras in it, little bit over weight, tall and large but the other features are distinct in their own. SMS, EMS, MMS, push E-mail and Instant Messaging support in Nokia E-61. Providing highest possible resolution screen with landscape mode support, WLAN connectivity, VOIP capability, conference calling up to six callers at a time, OMA DM support, Digital TTY/TDD featuring, Bluetooth connectivity supporting six connections simultaneously and a lot more uncountable features on part of Nokia E-61 are available.
So in short, No doubt this handset will be the legend but there is always a chance of improvement. I will suggest to Nokia to pay some time in balancing the weight and dimensions of the handset by considering the needs of music lover and providing the Radio support.
