The first point that anyone should be aware of is that Nokia 770 is not a cellphone and its features does not include being a cellphone. Nokia 770 is a gadget that can help you browse the internet and related functions over its screen. Nokia 770 is based on Linus OS called Debian. Nokia is also projecting this OS as an open source OS and will provide its SDK. Nokia 770 consists of rich 800 x 400 pixel 4.4" diagonal touchscreen. The internet tablet has bluetooth and wifi built-in so that it could make use of a nearby bluetooth or wifi connection to surf the internet. There would be 64Mb interla storage with expandable memory slot in the form of RS-MMC. Text input to the gadget is like in Nokia 7710. The OS and interface are totally different from Nokia's other previous series such as 80, 90 etc.
Nokia 770 bears a very handy size and could be the only solution in some scenarios. For example, this could add to your home another terminal that can browse the internet. You could check email, browse web when not near to your system etc. Opera browser and an email client is already installed in the gadget. Moreover, media players, file readers and flash support is also expected.

Still there is a lot to expect from the gadget and more can be provided in newer versions or at the time of release. VOIP is expected to be embedded in the gadget. Audio and handsfree support is there, mp3 support is not confirmed yet but there is a huge possibility .The 1450 Mah battery can provide continous 3 hours of browsing or a standby near 10 days. There is no word about release. Overall, its a big innovation and nice idea. Nokia 770 could find its way to a pure PDA. Its widescreen nature will also provide a possitive response among masses. Because, browsing has never been a great experience on smartphones, PDA because of a small screen but Nokia 770 could satisfy in this context.
