Nokia 7370 is a tri-band GSM handset and is there to support GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900.

GPRS

Nokia 7370 supports GPRS, General Packet Radio Service, of class B, Class 10 (4+1 / 3+2) slots and supports data transfer speed of 32-48 kbps. GPRS is the need of the day and is sometimes called "2.5 G", a technology between 2nd and 3rd generation mobile technology.

HSCSD

HSCSD (high-speed circuit-switched data) and CSD (circuit-switched data) support is also available in Nokia 7370. Don't confuse these two terms, HSDC is an enhanced form of CSD of GSM mobile phones.

EDGE

Nokia 7370 supports Class B – Multi slot Class 6, Class 10 with data rate of 236 kbps for EDGE, Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution. EDGE is enhancement to 2G and 2.5G networks.

Bluetooth

Nokia 7370 is capable to support Bluetooth connectivity. It supports Bluetooth v2.0.

USB

Nokia 7370 does support the USB connectivity. Pop-Port is there to support USB connectivity.

Wireless Connectivity

How can Nokia forget to put in the wireless connectivity in its handsets. So Nokia 7370, a new brand of Nokia also supports wireless data communication. It supports WAP 2.0 / xHTML, HTML, xHTML over TCP/IP for wireless internet.

Messaging

Nokia 7370 supports the most common an popular way of communicating via Flash messages, SMS class 0. Not only this one can design message templates for future reuse, the handset can store up to 10 message templates.

Receiving concatenated messages has always been a demanding feature in handsets and Nokia 7370 has integrated this feature along with other new features. One can receive a chain of 6 concatenated messages.

One can also receive Multimedia messages, one is provided with the tools to create MMS, receive, edit, and send videos and pictures with AMR voice clips.

Nokia 7370 also supports SMIL, Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language, which is typically used for rich multimedia presentations with ability to integrate audio and video streams with images and text.

Camera

Nokia cannot forget about the photographic interested users, this is the reason that Nokia has integrated 1.3 Mega-pixel, 8 x digital zoom CIF camera in its brand new Nokia 7370. The camera is capable to support 1280x960 pixels resolution and is capable to make videos and take still pictures as well.

The camera supports 3GP, H.263 format at 15 frames per second with subQCIF resolution for video recording, 4 minutes of continuous video can be captured with this handset and once the video is captured, you can use Nokia 7370's internal video player to play back the recording.
Nokia 7370's camera support multiple formats for image capturing, one can capture the image in JPEG, GIF, EXIF, WBMP, BMP, MBM, PNG format. Images can be edited by using integrated image editor as well.

Nokia 7370's camera is capable to supports Black and white, sepia, negative, and multi-shot modes for video and picture capturing. One can change the mode to full-screen landscape. The handset has a dedicated key to switch between the modes.

Multimedia
