General
Nokia 7360 was designed to be with its charming leather-inspired interaction materials, sophisticatedly fixed metal, and surfaces that are clear, the Nokia 7360 phone was designed to attract the users.
Nokia 7360 is a bar styled, tri band GSM handset that supports GSM 900, GSM 1800, and GSM 1900. The handset was announced in October 2005 and is currently available in market. Nokia has decided to launch the handset in two different colors, so for time being Nokia 7360 is available in Coffee brown and warm amber color.
Package
Nokia 7360 comes with all of the necessities which are required for a full operational handset. The package for Nokia 7360 contains Nokia Li-Ion Battery BL-5B 760mAh, Nokia compact charger AC-3, Nokia fashion Headset HS-31, A pouch, strap, user guide to teach the users about different functions of the handset. Nokia couldn't forget about placing handset in the package, so don't worry Nokia 7360 handset is also there.
Design & Display
Nokia 7360 is a light weight handset and weighs only 92 grams in total with the dimensions of 105 x 45 x 18 mm, occupying the volume of 72 cc. Most of the handsets today claim to be light weight handsets but their weight is in three digits, which does not fit into light weight categories like Motorola Razr which is thinnest handset but weighs about 125 grams, Nokia E-60 weighs 117 grams and same for other famous handsets.
Nokia 7360 is equipped with 16-bit, 65,536 color LCD display screen having a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels.
The display is not much as good as it is supposed to be in the handset owned by year 2005. All of the market giants are now providing a better display screen than the one used to be in the old fashioned handsets. Just consider the Sony Ericsson's releases W550, K750 and W900 or Nokia's E-series and many others, they all are equipped with either 65K color screen or better and same is for the screen resolution. One how or the other, Nokia should have worked on the handset's screen and should have provided a better screen.
Battery Life
Nokia 7360 is equipped with BL-5B 760 mAh battery that gives about 4 hours of GSM talk time and the handset can survive in stand by mode for about 450 hours (more than 18.8 days) in a single battery charging.
The battery performance in Stand-by mode is quite satisfactory but a poor performance is observed in talk mode. Just imagine who always go to charge his battery after 3-4 hours of mobile usage. This is bizarre. There are handsets in the market that are giving a much better performance, rather extra ordinary performance will be more appropriate to say. Just consider the battery performance of the Sony Ericsson W550's battery which works fine for about 8.5 hours, Nokia E-series' battery is also capable to give a talk time of about 7 hours. Although the battery is performing good than much of the handsets like battery of Nokia 3250 handset which gives even a more poor performance than Nokia 7360's battery but this must not be the comparison criteria and a better battery must be designed.
I would definitely admire the performance of the battery in stand-by mode; this is the maximum and the best performance of the battery I have ever come across. The best battery performance of any handset in my knowledge book was of the Sony Ericsson's W550 handset but now I need to update this with the battery performance of Nokia 7360's battery.
