If you are new to cellular phones and want to buy a SIM for yourself but
are confused as to what to buy and what not to, then this guide is for you.
The market is full of cellular companies providing cell service just attracting
the customers in one way or the other. But you have to buy one that can suit your
needs and not the needs of the cellular companies.
Cellular Service - GSM and AIMS
There are two types of cellular services available right now, one is Digital
that is GSM based and the other is Analog known as AIMS. As both the services
are been discussed in another article, we will not describe the difference in
detail. But to be very precise, GSM is the one that is quite hot because of the
very fact that it uses a SIM card and you can use them in any GSM card that you
wanna use without the need of company or company vendors. On the other hand,
the Analog one or AIMS is one that is based on an old technology. To use that
service you need to get to the company, get the connection and get it done
manually on your mobile phone. Unfortunately, if anything happens with your
mobile and you wanna change that then you can't do so yourself rather you will
have to go to your cell company or their vendor to get that done. This process
is known as Naming.
Cellular Service - Choosing Company
Before choosing the right cellular company for your use, get to know your requirements,
if you are just going to buy as all are buying than any cellular company can work. But
if it is some latest trend and you wanna go with the much hyped status oriented hype
then go for the company that is hot. But if you are going to use that often and you
need to get connected with people all the time then go for the company that has major
boasters or clear service, because that is what matters the most to you. Do check out
their network connections are they remain busy or service by just asking from people
and you will get an idea about that.
Peer-package
Besides that if you are buying it to use very less, then settle down with some company
that doesn't charge you more. If you are going to buy mobile as all your friends are
having then settle down for a Peer-package or a family package, as most of the companies
have such packages that can allow you a cheaper rate for that. Besides that some companies
do allow your free talk time at specific hours in between. If you are looking to talk to
your girlfriend then this cellular company will be best for you.
Ask your friends
Again, it depends entirely upto you which cellular service you choose, but before buying
one, get a general opinion from the people who are using these services about the quality
of service and your requirements as they will give you a better feedback.
