Franklin RAZRberry phone
Motorola franklin Motorola has cancelled the release of highly awaited model Mpx. This somehow left a negative impression on Motorola. There were rumours that Motorola is working on a pocket PC phone with form factor like Blackberry with ultra slimness like RAZR. Soon the announcement of new model with code Franklin confirms the above fact. Lets have a look at its details and possible future.

Features

Franklin has also been given the name RAZRberry by keeping in mind of its combination of RAZR and Blackberry. The form factor is pretty impressive with ultra thin 112 x 64 x 11.5mm, light weight 115g, housing a QWERTY keyboard with 2.4 inch horizontal TFT screen. Franklin is based on Microsoft's latest Windows Mobile version 5.0. Franklin would be able to support GPRS/EDGE networks with no support for UMTS/3G. Moreover, you also wont find wifi support. Instead, bluetooth is present. Hence, Franklin is not adding technologies that are currently used on trial basis. This could become a possitive aspect of Franklin and strengthen its possibility to be released.
128Mb memory is already there with mini SD slot to expand it. Furthermore, you will find a 1.3 Mp camera and dual stereo speakers that fulfill media requirements.

Conclusion

People looking for UMTS or wifi stop thinking about Franklin. Franklin is very thin and slick but its a bit wide as other extremely slim devices. You can say it rather a stylish form of Berry. Still there is no word about its price, release and other features. If Franklin handled all issues and got released in the market, it would be a nice addition to Motorola's line of devices.
