I think i would be the first person, not satisfied with the new range of cellphones this year. Sonyericsson k790 and k800 being the most awaited models of this year are revealed at CeBit 2006. You may notice a burst of trademarks and names such as cybershot, best pic, xenon flash, 3.2 megapixel etc. Ofcourse, these are big names but with less effect in quality and the capabilities of the cellphone.

Anyone who is slightly technical knows that increasing the megapixel doesnt increase the quality of the picture. The concept of a true flash is still impossible in a cellphone because of extreme energy usage, does anybody agree to have a perfect digital camera without optical zoom?

I remember the time when sonyericsson t610 hit the market, next time it was a joy to see k700 standing out in the crowd. Both of the above were creative and admirable phones that won people's heart.

Sonyericsson k800 additionaly support UMTS and a separate video conferencing camera. The shapes are no longer smooth. Instead the shape is thicker from the middle because of camera, the size is longer than k750 while there are t290 like cheap curves on the edges. In other words, its not giving a fashion or executive-like look

There are four main categories of cellphones i.e. camera phones, music phones, fashion phones, smart phones. This is a transition stage i suppose where nothing is even close to perfect. Letme ask you something..

Will you take your 500$ cellphone instead of your 250$ digital camera when you go to holidays? Being a music fan, will you buy the 500$ music phone instead of new 250$ ipod?
